Well, RBW has come and gone. While I would have liked to be there for the entire con (Thursday to Sunday), I was only able to make the weekend due to a combination of college, the need to be buying people Christmas presents and general poorness.
The con itself wasn’t particularly well-organised, which is understandable with the amount of drama that’s been flying around in the past year, and the hotel sucked balls… but at least it actually felt like a con and not an overpriced furmeet. There were many, many awesome people there whom I’d not seen in fucking months, years in a couple of cases, some of whom I didn’t get to hang out with nearly as much as I’d’ve liked… but to anyone reading this who received at least a pounce from the arctic foxie this weekend I just wanna say you all rock and seeing you always sprinkles a little magic over my otherwise slightly boring and repetitive life.
Also a mention of something I’ve nodded to in my scraps, 4chan’s one hundred millionth post was a furry picture, and an awesome one at that. There’s now speculation flying around as to whether it was actually a furry who posted it or just someone trying to make the 100M get as epic fail as possible (subject to opinion). As far as I care, it was a well-drawn, sexy – without being pornographic – and well-timed post (even if it would’ve been a stab in the darkest dark you could imagine) and I think whoever posted it, furry or not, deserves a mountain of cookies.
